WG-ASU scope of work includes the design, construction and safe operations of ASUs and Gas Generators, their accessories and pressure vessels for liquefied gases. The major WG responsibilities are:
- To monitor the international Standards that are relevant to ASUs and Gas Generators and to which MEGA members actively contribute.
- To provide guidance on best operating practices in ASUs and Gas Generators design, construction and safe operations.
- To review accidents and incidents related to ASUs and Gas Generators, determine their causes and propose ways to avoid re-occurrence.
- To propose harmonization steps in order to have a common set minimum standards and related specifications all over the Middle East countries.
